GENESIS OF VIDYALAYA

Kendriya Vidyalaya, NTPC Badarpur is a Project school financed by National Thermal Power Corporation. It initially started functioning in 1981. It is a three section school with Science, Commerce and Humanities streams in XI & XII. Informatics Practices/ Physical Education is offered as one of the electives in all the streams. This Vidyalaya is a co-educational institution with English and Hindi medium.

To provide a healthy environment to the pupil the Vidyalaya building is surrounded by three green lawns and a huge playground where physical education is imparted through a variety of games.

The Vidyalaya building has four laboratories including one Junior Science Lab. The Computer Lab has internet facilities giving opportunity to students and teachers alike to access websites and be at per with the world at large.
