Yoga exercises are regularly conducted during the morning assembly and also during the school hours to develop positive energy, concentration power, clarity of the mind, learning abilities and help in enhancing the memory.

The Vidyalaya organizes inter – house Competitions in various games and sports as per the calendar of activities. Our students participated in Foot Ball, Basket Ball and Cricket at KVS Regional level sports meet 2005 held w.e.f. 06-09-005 to 08-09-2005 at KV 2, Hindan and KV JNU Campus respectively.

For the development of the skills of socially useful productive work and inherent talent among the students. Coaching is imparted in stitching and embroidery skills, velvet and paper flower making, pot painting, paper craft etc. For this a line demonstration was organized in October to teach the students to make use of waste material.

96 Scouts, 45 Guides, 37 Cubs and 16 Bulbuls were registered during 2005-2006. 6 Cubs and 6 Bulbuls have participated in Cubs and Bulbul utsav held at KVNO2, Faridabad on 10th and 11th Sept 2005. The distt. ‘Tritya Sopan Testing Camp was held in the vidyalaya w.e.f 23rd Sept 2005 to 25th Sept 2005 to impart training through qualified trainers from different KV’s of Delhi Region. 16 Scouts and 4 Guides of this Vidyalaya qualified as ‘Raj Puraskar’, 56 Scouts of this Vidyalaya have participated in ‘Prathan’ and ‘Divtya’ sopan testing camp held on 9th October 2005. Master Ravinder of Class XI of Commerce Stream was selected for National Jamboree held at KV BHEL Haridwar from 9th Oct to 22nd Oct 2005.

The Science exhibition was held on 22nd August in our Vidyalaya. 6 Models were selected for the Regional Science Exhibition held at KV. Pragati Vihar on 22nd and 23rd Sept 2005. Social Science Exhibition was held at KV INA on 11th and 12th August 2005. One exhibit from our School was selected for Regional Level.

Number of the literary and Culture activities was undertaken by the students for all round development of the students. Different class wise and inter house competition namely, Debate, Drawing and Paintings, Calligraphy, Elocution Poem Recitation, Froup Songs, Folk Dances etc etc were held in the Vidyalaya. Our students won Laurals in NTPC inter school competition held for senior and Junior Classes. The students were given the opportunity for Creative Writing in the form of contribution of articles for school magazine and class magazine

The training in disaster management is imparted in the Vidyalaya to face the emergency situations due to various calamities. ‘Fire Fighting’ training show was organized for students and teachers by the CISF Fire wing of NTPC. The training was imparted by CISF personelles to handle Fire Fighting Devices for extinguishing solid liquid and electrical fire. For general awareness of fire safety ‘on the spot painting competition’ was organized. Six students got prizes in this competition.

The students of the primary section visited to the Akash Dham Temple and Science Centre to enhance their observation about the surroundings and observation about the surroundings and the environment. It is useful for their all round development of the total personality of a child.

A lecture on career counseling and stress management was delivered by Shri Sumeshwar Anand on 16/01/2006 arranged by NTPC. Various Seminars on Careeer Counseling for class X/XII were organized in the Vidyalaya and were attended by maximum number of students.

Project Edutech was launched in the Vidyalaya. Mr. G.S. Lawania, Master Trainer trained at least one teacher from all KVs of Delhi Region. Mrs. Ira Joshi TGT English KV NTPC Badarpur was trained under this project. She further extended this program among all teachers and students. Project think.com was launched in the Vidyalaya and Fifty Three Teachers and Five Hundred Eleven Students were registered with the think.com. KV website with URL kvntpcbadarpur.com was launched in the session 2005-06. This website is hyper linked with Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan main website. It contains lots of information regarding admission procedure, academic growth and co curricular activities.
